1. Lets start off nice and simple, what's your favourite ingredient? Hmm... bell peppers probably but I love onions, too. yummm crunchies!
2. What's your favourite cooking method? Stir-fry (in a pan/skillet/wok on the stove top)
3. What are then top ten most cooked meals that come out of your kitchen? stir fry, pasta cassarole (in various incarnations), shepherd's pie, cornbread with veggies, barbeque chicken, chicken salad (you'd love my recipe, I think), salmon pasta cream stuff, fried chicken, french toast, omelettes
4. What are your top ten FAVOURITE meals *NOT your family's*? Probably similar to the list above, but add in all sorts of seafood (which I love to cook but is not "most often"), steak and potatoes, and... I think that's about it. I cook what I like.
5. How many cookbooks do you own? 8?
6. Roughly how many recipes do you think you've cooked from them? Hmm... Maybe 20?
7. What is your favourite food show? Good Eats
8. What food shows have you watched, and/or enjoy? Rachel Ray, Paula Dean, Good Eats, a few others... but I'm not so much into them. I like Good Eats because it gives history and background on foods.
9. What food/s will you simply not touch and why? mushrooms, olives, and tomatoes because I don't like the texture
10. How open are you to new foods and recipes? very
11. On a scale of 1 to 10, how picky are you about what you eat? which one means not picky?
12. Do you wish you could be more experimental in your kitchen? eh, sometimes, but I don't have a lot of time on my hands usually.
13. If yes, what are your reasons for not? see above
14. Name one recipe that you're dying to try and, share it! hmm.... I need to practice grilling fish. I love it but I've never really done it, just bakes and pan fried.
15. Is there anything else you'd like to add? You've made me hungry.
@Lava Girl *grins* 1 is not very picky at all. And, I totally agree with you on tomatoes. The environment totally screwed up there, they're awful.
Glad to've contributed to a rumbly tummy ^_^.
1. Yikes, that's a hard one to choose! Maybe, chicken breast, onion or potato.
2. Slower cooker styles!
3. If I'm not experimenting with different recipes, it will probably be - Belgian Stew + Roast Vegies, Potato Bake (Seems to be Matt's all time favourite), Chicken Parmigiana + Salad, Pinwheels + Vegies/Salad, Mince Chow Mein, Curried Sausages, Chilli Chicken + Coconut + Lime casserole, Mini Quiches (Muffin sized), Roast Beef/Chicken/Silverside + vegies, Home made gourmet pizza!
4. Same as above!
5. 21
6. About 55?
7. Don't have one!
8. ^^
9. Mushroom, Garlic (sometimes - sometimes I ignore the fact I'm allergic to it and eat it anyway), Peas, Corn, Pineapple. Allergic to them all. Olives & Most seafood, just not a fan. Though I do love a good piece of battered shark/crumbed lemon & peppered fish.
10. Very, I'll try anything once. You don't know if you like it, unless you try.
11. Not that picky, though being allergic to what I am, is kinda fun finding recipes that don't need those ingredients!
12. Experiemental enough, I have nothing else to do during the day but cook and study!
13. ^^
14. Beetroot & Chocolate Mud Cake.
15. Yeah..I'm damn starving!!
